We knew that it was likely that Andrew would come home this past week so it was less of a surprise than when we got the call about Ryan. On Monday Julie went to visit Andrew and Nadia at the hospital and she took the car seat so that Andrew could take the car seat test (or as my coworker calls it, the "if it fits, it ships" test). While it was a possibility that Andrew was going to come home Monday, it wasn't until Wednesday that the doctors felt he was ready to be discharged. After a short trip to the hospital we were one more step closer to having our whole family together at home.
So far things have been going pretty smoothly and I was even able to work the rest of the week (primarily due to the fact that my mom came and stayed with us the whole week and did A LOT of work around our house and with the babies). Neither of us can really comprehend what it will be like when we have all three babies home but right now we have a pretty good system going. It has also helped that Ryan and Andrew are fairly easy to deal with.
Since we know that most of you just check out this blog for the pictures I will stop rambling and just give you what you want. Make sure you scroll all the way to the bottom for an update on Nadia!

Nadia Update
For those wondering how Miss Nadia is doing you will be pleased to know that she is progressing well. She has been in an open crib since earlier this week and she has started back on bottle feeds after conquering her infection. While we thought that she might come home this week, we really don't know what to expect because when Julie visited her today, she was having trouble with her bottle feeds again. They have ramped up her feeding amount pretty quickly after she finished with the antibiotics and while Nadia was handling the increased amounts well, she started having trouble today when she got over 30 mls. We are holding on to hope that Nadia will be home to celebrate Christmas with us but we also don't want her to leave the hospital until she is truly ready. Please continue to pray for her development and progress with eating. We will be sure to keep you updated if there are any changes in her status.
they are so cuuuuute!! I suggest you both start practicing holding the two boys so when Nadia gets home you will be ready to juggle all three :)
ReplyDeleteWOW ... this is so much fun to look at your new family. The babies are beautiful, and Julie - you look great!!! Can't wait to come down there and see all of you!
