So after two postponements the surgery finally took place yesterday. They took Nadia back around 7:30 am and she was out of surgery and into the PICU around 2:00 pm. Overall the surgery went super well and the surgeons are very pleased with how well Nadia is doing. She came off of her breathing machine last night and they took the drainage tubes out of her chest earlier today. We were able to give her formula today and they are predicting that she will come home on Friday (so long as everything continues to progress as expected). The surgeons and staff here at CHKD have been ridiculously awesome and we are very thankful that we had access to such a great hospital for this surgery.
We want to sincerely thank everyone who has been praying for us and for the meals that have and/or will be delivered. We will update the blog this weekend after she comes home. Until then here are a few post op pictures of our supergirl :)
