Can We PLEASE Go Out in the Snow! The Kids Want to go Too!

So I know what you guys are thinking...2 posts in one week, is this the beginning of a new trend?  Well I can answer that question rather quickly....ahh no.  While I still have to put up posts about Christmas and Nadia crawling, I thought everyone would enjoy seeing the triplets' first experience with snow.  The results were as expected - Andrew loved it, Ryan was scared of it, and Nadia tried to eat it.

This "event" also marked a rare occasion where it was I and not Julie who had romanticized visions of how an experience with the kids first time in the snow was going to go.  Thankfully I was not disappointed as we were able to spend a good while outside playing in the snow and pulling the kids around in the sled that Grandma Waskey got them for Christmas.  Our neighbor "Grandma J" even came over to play in the snow.  All told it was a fun time with minimal screaming (despite what you will see in one of the videos).  As usual the videos haven't been edited so my apologies for any shaky camera work, annoying parental remarks, or loud random plow drive-bys.

This first video is a pretty typical example of the difference in how the boys handle new experiences...

The title of this video is "We Came, We Saw, We Screamed"

"Dad, what did you do to the lawn?"

Ryan tires to figure out where the grass that he is usually scared of went to and whether he should be just as afraid of this new "white stuff"

"Seriously...tennis shoes? You do realize there is snow on the ground don't you?"

"This is my excited face"

"Are you going to pick me up or what?"

Andrew is clearly happy about being chauffeured around the yard

"So like, do you think you guys put enough pink on me today?"

Andrew prepares to navigate the treacherous 3 inch slope from the yard to the driveway

"Why are you stopping to take a picture...keep going!!!"

"Hmmm....nobody has played in that snow yet..."
